Anthromorphic means animals that take on human characteristics. Anthropomorphism is not limited to animals, and can be used to personify non-living objects, plants, and even forces of nature. Some of the more famous Anthromorphic characters are Bugs Bunny, or Donald Duck.
Furcadia was originally solely based on animals who have learned to walk upright on two legs, carry on conversations, and have human ambitions and traits, called Furres. Furcadia has since moved to cover a wider variety of both fantasy and real-world creatures.
